I always wanted to know why the NFL does not put a cap on how much a rookie player gets payed!?
What i was thinking was if the player gets drafted in the first round he should get a better contract than someone in the sixth round, that goes without saying. But for a player to get payed higher than an experienced veteran is outrageous!
I had an idea that if there was a cap on rookies and that they should only be offered a two or three year contract then even if they do bust the team can get rid of them, but that should not be the case! If you are getting payed that much money you should be producing the goods!!
any thoughts on this??
