you are feeling sad and complaining? "I think that if i ever have kids, and they are upset, I won't tell them that people are starving in china or anything like that because it wouldn't change the fact that they are upset. And even if somebody else has is much worse, that doesn't really change the fact that you have what you have. Good and bad."

Because it's the truth.I tell it to myself and don't go "sniff sniff but I'm side".It's actually to encourage me cause I'm aware that i live in a better country and I'm in a better situation that them and I can make most of my life.I have control over my actions, when they don't have even control of what to eat.Maybe you should learn to value the little things in life, don't wait for when you'll be left with no home or no food to discover the true value of those things that now you take for granted.
Sometimes people feel sad because of themselves, they need to learn how to take care of them. You won't have your mama or your papa for the rest of your life to babysit you and help you get ahead sometimes you gotta do things for yourself. At least that's what I keep telling myself and I've seen better results. But as long as you don't become ignorant of others' needs.

I think people answer with that because they feel uneasy, cant relate or give any good advice. Going with the there are others worse off is an easy solution. Its to encourage you to be less selfish of your emotion and then you will acknowledge how silly you are being. Although personally i think complaining is healthy!! If we dont let steam off everyone now and then how are we expected to get through everyday tasks? We all need a release sometimes. I think having a good moan is good for everyone, as long as you dont mind having someone do the same back to you =)
