specifically Tom Osbourne? Two points. One, since the Bo Pelini thing came out(OMG he yelled), everyone points to the class act that was Tom Osbourne. Do people remember Christian Peter? The guy was a sexual predator, and his big discipline was holding him out of a game. An Exhibition game. Calling him a sexual predator isn't an exaggeration, either. Lawrence Phillips threw a female friend down a friend down a flight of stairs, and proceeded to play in the next game.

Second, I just read that he was voted the number 1 big game coach of all time. He lost just about every big game until 94. He literally gave away a national championship. You can call him heroic for going for 2, but I thought it was kinda dumb. And if he retires in 93, people consider him a joke of a coach for that decision.

Don't get me wrong, I respect the guy, but infallible, or the best big game coach of all time, he was not.

You are right. I seem to remember that the prison guards could take time off when neb played because all the inmates were playing. I think that people see how very homely Pelini is and forget about Osborne.

i was literally 2 seconds into reding this then i said to myself... WTF is he talking about

They treat Osborne the way the GOP treats Reagan. Forget facts, the myth is more popular.
