...inexperienced when UFC fights most end up? in the ground? since when does grappling mean you can't fight?

even in most PRO fights they go to the ground....Toney who's a boxer got owned by couture in the ground......
i'm a boxing fan but it's limited and ufc is much closer to a street fight because there's much more you can do...
some people are stupid saying "how many fights hav eyou seen people tap out" lol your a effin idiot to take it literally I didn't say a street fight is exactly like UFC I said it's the closest sport to a street fight
 
Because taking a fight to the ground in the street is a terrible idea. It opens you up to all sorts of attacks and any weapon they have becomes even more dangerous. Furthermore, the only reasons UFC fighter's go to the ground is they're trained that way and they can't kick the opponent standing up. Very few fights actually end up like they do in the UFC, with someone in a mount and ground and pound. Most of the time they'll just stand over you and kick you.

Also, most UFC fighter's go to the ground because that's what they're good at. Couture is a wrestler and very proficient on the ground. Thus in a system which tends to favor ground fighting, wrestlers will go to the ground to win the fight. UFC is by no means a realistic representation of fighting. While some fights do go to the ground in real life, most of them actually do not and only idiots do it purposefully in the street.
 
Because people who suck and cant fight take the fight to the ground and just lay and pray ... example.. Rashad Evans.. he has like 20 fights and 18 of them are decision .. he cant fight so he just lays on top of you to gain the win.
 
A very high portion of fights go to the ground. [ A little research shows the figure from 80-95%, 86 being the mean] This applies to street fights as well; I've never witnessed one at any sort of school that doesn't include some hair pulling on the ground. This is why many MMA fighters include a ground style art, or specialize in it.
 
Flawed of course their good at the ground attack but you can't set your feet the same way a boxer does
