I frequently drive on 2 lane roads, one lane in each direction. I often notice that people will normally be driving slower or at the speed limit. However when they get to a passing lane(2 lanes in one direction) they speed up to the speed limit and often faster than the speed limit. And when the passing lane ends they drop back down to the speed they were driving at. Why do they do this? Do they like it when I tailgate them for 6 miles? Is it a mental thing where they see a wider road and think its ok to go faster?
