cigarette, red bull etc these days? I mean if you're stressed, go out for a walk in the park or a run on the treadmill. Or put the music on and dance :) Or do yoga and take a nap.

If you find that that's the way you 'connect' easier with friends/mates under the influence of ecstasy. Or if you find cigarette/weed a social lubricant. Or if you find peace and happiness after snorting heroin.

Then maybe you can rethink your life and think how you will make your body last and take care of your brain. You only life once so why do you do these? Maybe you don't need friends like these. Take care of yourself. Take care of others.

I may sound like a person who should mind my own business but well I'm studying the brain for my exam and thought I'd let people know that you gotta quit. quit now.

PS-while very little of alcohol daily helps the heart etc, getting drunk does not! Alcohol is toxin. And the other stuff changes the brain.
energy drinks are bad for health. did you not know?

Why do people use any drug?
1) It makes them feel good
2) Boredom

Drugs are a lot more powerful than a "walk in the park" you should try them before judging people who use them if you really want to figure out for yourself why people use them.

Yeah i think you should mind your own business.
The world isn't going to be like your picture perfect image of it.
You don't understand what people have been through, what they continue to go through. Who are you to tell them what they should or shouldn't do.

I drink like 1 bear everyday. I used to smoke cigerettes but that was too addictive and too expensive. I still smoke weed sometimes with my friends. I've expiremented with coke before and ecstasy. I can see how coke and ecstasy is bad.
Look alcohol is not bad if you have 1 beer or acasionally get drunk (maybe once a month or once every 2 months). I smoke marijuana like once a week but not much at all.
Marijuana is illegal partially because it's a drug but also for an excuse to illegalize hemp. Hemp is a great building material that could solve all of the sustanibility problems in our world. Talk about a cash crop, hemp makes clothes, rope, paper, food, plastic just to name a few. In the 1920's and 30's The US government and the oil companies (standard oil) parted together to make hemp illegal so the petrolium industry could do all of the stuff that hemp does but ruins the enviornment along with it. So they made hemp illegal by using marijuana as a cover up.
So they legalized alcohol once marijuana was illegal. There is no proven fact that marijuana will kill you, it probably has the same effects of tabacco on your lungs because of the smoke.
you can look this up online. But look the US government is in it for the money, you would be suprized on who pays for the presidential campains, usually weapons manufacturers and oil companies. The US government has a way of controlling our culture, our media, and our minds.
Maybe you should put that in your essay.

did you know your over excitement with the world and exercise is detrimental to my health? well it's not really but i do have a headache.

everything bad for ur heath now a days and none of your stress relief tricks work for me. as for making your body last i nvr want to be over 75. times are screwed up enough already i cant imagine the cr** we're gona have to deal with 50 years down the road. i say a happy person is a healthy person and if drugs are what make you happy then do it up. you only live once.

Yeah, um, red bull isn't a drug?

Yeah they're not 'good' for your health.
But neither is junk food, over eating, under eating, excessive exercise...etc
Let people do what they want.

Why do people still connect heroin, coke, and speed to alcohol, weed, and Red Bull?

Energy Drinks are bad for your health if you consume too much, obviously, but they provide a simple function. If you've ever worked at a factory, you should know how beneficial that function is, lol. Why didn't you mention coffee on that list (which I like more than Red Bull)? Anyhow, I've never met a man who used Red Bull because he enjoyed it, lol.

Alcohol, same deal. It's only unhealthy if you use it to destroy yourself. Two glasses of wine a day has been scientifically proven to extend your life expectancy overall. Marijuana is nothing but healthy (unless you smoke like 20 joints a day, and even the biggest stoners I've met wouldn't do that). In fact, it's been used to cure recipients of chemo to restore their appetites, so they can eat again! In addition to that, it's also been shown to have many other medicinal benefits (asthma, glaucoma, etc).

If you're studying the brain, and you see a problem with marijuana, then I'd suggest you quit your proffession from not knowing what the bloodclot you're talking about. I'm sorry for being mean, but honestly, I don't see your point by asking this question. Do you think that just because yer one o' them there edumacated types, that gives you any kind of authority over other peoples' lives? I just don't understand how that's a justification, let alone anthing more than simple provocation.

Again, I totally agree with you about heroin, speed, coke, ecstacy, and to a certain degree cigarettes (even though I smoke), but the rest is just bourgeois-liberal nonsense -- and I'm a leftist, too, so don't mistaken this rant as politically motivated. I'm just telling you how I feel. And, it goes along with my answer to your question, which goes as follows:

People do all kinds of things for various reasons. Often just to experiment or because they just enjoy it, often because their friends or idols did it, often because it serves a specific purpose they are obliged to fulfill, and often because they feel sad and depressed or whatnot, amongst a large slew of other reasons.

The fact is, drinking a Red Bull won't kill you. Drinking 4 a day very well might. It all comes down to one easy-to-remember longstanding rule of thumb. Moderation, moderation, moderation.

Oh, and unless you know and love the person, there's no excuse for you getting involved.
