Why do some anime fans pretend say their japanese when their actually not?

I see alot of people on here that I've exposed that aren't japanese but they say they are for example Aki Cup, and Angel ? biggest trolls making questions like saying manga and anime aren't really words, thinking just because they watch alot of animes and chinese cartoons they think their better then everyone else that just makes me angry I see many other people on other websites as well who pretend to be japanese just because they are hardcore anime fans.

What are your thoughts?
 
Actually, I think they troll just to get reactions like this. And for the lulz.
