Why do sport bikes try to race my fixed up 80s camaro?

I know no matter how fast you make a chevy v8 it will never be as fast as a sport bike very few run 10s or 11s and those have built ls1 swaps.
Yea the sport bike makes even 14 second cars look slow.

yes i know it's sad really as my big old 4x4 is slow but it's more comfort when it's raining isn't it.
and when the wind is blowing or when it's 10 below freezing.
so if you want to go like bat out of hell get a sports cart as well. then watch them try and have a laugh at there vain attempts.
 
They're NOT racing! They are taking off like a normal Sports Bikes.

You think there're racing because your Camaro is such a slug of the lights.
 
They're not actually racing...they just want to hear your engine. Sort of a "does the carpet match the drapes" scenario.
 
People who actually own such a car are usually a little more specific when it comes to the year and how it's "fixed up".
 
because they think that a 3500 lb machine with 350hp that has 10 times the weight and only 2 times the hp has a chance against a 300 lb machine with 150hp. Its not fair =(
