Why do the CSI guys on CSI: Miami drive Hummers?

I mean, I have been to Miami. Not much need for a H3 Hummer. Since the real CSI folks there drive like Ford Contours, is it just because the Hummers are sexier? Or does the Miami PD just enjoy buying gas for 15 mpg trucks?
