Why do the vast majority of Christians assume that being an "atheist" automatically renders you a hard-core evolutionist, and a firm believer of Big Bang Theory?
In addition, why are atheists - that is, simply, people without a religion - bundled into a category as being conspiring / fighting against their religion and God?
Note:- Don't let this descend into a theistic battle, this is about the feelings and (in my opinion, unfounded) beliefs with regards to people that aren't also Christian, rather than the validity of Christianity
Cheers
Thanks for the answers so far - many have stated that they don't, or that the vast majority don't... I may be generalising myself on the latter (though it's just from my own observations with many non-fundamentalist Christians), though it still remains that a huge chunk do assume so
And with you personally not assuming it, that doesn't really shed much light on my question =/
But thanks guys
