Why do they say the fastest sport-bikes are dangerous for inexperienced riders?

So, I was at the bike shop and a GSXR 1300 really caught my eye. It fit around me like a glove. I have driven other bikes, including doing some serious dirt biking, just no crotch rockets. However, the lady at the shop insisted that I look at something with 1000cc's, or less; hesitantly at 1000cc's. She said that if I didn't have much experience, with these kinds of bikes, that I should start with something smaller. I only want to buy one crazy cool bike though; not buy an extra one to get me there.

Then also, I have hear this before. What would make these bikes dangerous for someone that has never ridden a crotch rocket before? I figured if I jumped on it like an idiot and hammered down, then yes, I probably deserve to crash. What if I took it easy, at first, until I got used to it though? Is it something that is hard to hold onto? What are the things that I would not understand that would affect my own safety?

Its not the question of fastest sports bikes and all. All two wheelers have been proved to be dangerous.Maximum persons admitted to hospitals are those involved in an accident wether riding it or getting oneself involved with it.

How do expect to handle a a bike doing close to 200MPH when you have never been anywhere near that speed before.
your telling me your not going to be going that fast until you get used to it
At what speed is going too fast for the turn classed as used to it.
Serious dirt bike riding - 40mph
cruising on the Gixxer 140mph
Stopping distance at 140mph - Your the genius, you work out when you think you could have stopped.
The good part for you is your not the one who cleans up the wreckage and informs your next of kin.

Like I say, go ahead and buy the bike. you might even get a free Darwin Award.

it doesnt matter if you take it easy. the thing is that you are used to dirtbikes that are lightweight and will go up to 40 or 50 with the throttle wide open and through the gears.

a hayabusa will go to 80 in first gear and can throw you on your back with the 500lb bike on top of you after a 1/2 throttle opening.

you are simply not used to something so precise, touchy, powerful, and unforgiving. you ever see the people that get on a dirtbike that have never ridden one before, and they take off and smash into a fence.

well a hayabusa will be exaclty the same way to someone who hasnt ridden a sportsbike. except it will take off at greater speeds and be on concrete.
