The whole Gods duty aspect is ridiculous, but most women don't mind if a) they actually can cook and b) the request can be reciprocated when they ask a man.
I guess its the way some men would say it that makes it seem disrespectful. I love to cook, but its because fast food is disgusting & filled with MSG and weird freaky things that make people fat.
