...Qu'ran & piss people off? In this country you have the right to do both: build a mosque and burn a Qu'ran.
The defense for the "Ground Zero" mosque is that the Imam has the legal right to build it. People are opposing not his legal right but the insensitivity of building it there. The Left claims it does not matter if 3,000 people died 600 ft from the mosque - killed by radicals from the religion the mosque espouses, all that matters is the Imam has the legal right to build it.
The Pastor has the legal right to burn a Qu'ran if he chooses. People are opposing not his legal right but the insensitivity of burning the Qu'ran. The Left claims it does not matter if he has a legal right to do it, all that matters is that it's insensitive.
Why is there a difference AT ALL?
1. If your answer is that it will provoke a terrorist attack - I thought you weren't afraid of Muslims?
2. If your answer is it will provoke a terrorist attack - Anything we DO could provoke a terrorist attack. They hate us and will use ANYTHING we do or don't do against us if they can. That's a moot point.
3. If your answer is burning the Qu'ran will upset Muslims - Why don't you care about the people whose loved ones died in 9/11?
Can someone please explain the reasoning behind this to me?
