why does default search engine always changes to yahoo in google chrome?

i have been using chrome since years. all of a sudden default search engine is changed to yahoo when i go to wrench>options>basics i change yahoo to google then it reverts back to yahoo on restarting browser. i even deleted yahoo from manage search engines button but still no use.
somebody help!! i hate yahoo search!!!
 
I had the same problem. Found a program called SearchSettings.exe running when I looked in Windows Task Manager. I searched my hard drive and deleted the file (after ending the process in Task Manager) and the problem is gone.
