why does everyone think they can fight?

HOLD THE FUCK UP! Have any of you watched that shit? I was a extra in it, unfortunately. The lead actor with brown hair was such a fag, he was so scared of getting hurt. Blonde guy was cool though, he did his own stunts and shit.

I can't believe any of you watched that shit.

Most people just think their tough, for example the first time I was in jail this blood thought he was the baddest mofo alive, then I seen him fight and I was like what, I would beat his ass so quick, his dumbass just threw wild hooks nonstop.

And as for me in school I took on the A string basketball team, six of em and beat em all off me, didnt kick their ass but they couldnt even jump me and I knocked a couple of em down while cussin them out telling them to fight. Needless to say I found out the next day what its like to be famous, its a trip everyone knows you and wants to be your best friend.

Not really sure if that's a joke post or not. Any who, I used to think I'd be really good but we bought gloves, I'm no boxer but I'm better than the average joe. I stay composed, alternate arms, quick, dodge. Most people think, you're big you'll dominate. You should know that's quite the contrary. Most people just flail their arms.

I suck ass at fighting, so youll never hear that out of my mouth lol. If i were to talk myself up at all, and it came down to a real fight, my only chance would be if i got him on the ground so i could choke him out. Standing up i suck, i have decent reach aparently but i cant use it for shit.

Im moreof a talker, since i know i cant back shit up with my skills lol. But the two people ill never want to fight is a young teenager, or an older adult. Thats either a crazy little kid or an experienced oldman.

It's been so long since I have actually fought someone. I kind of avoid fights normally, you never know who is going to go get their buddies and gang up on you. A fair fight is something that is pretty rare these days.

I can beat the living hell out of anyone in and under my grade at school, and most of the seniors

however, im not stupid and can't dodge a bullet, so i avoid it where i can

and i too fight in MMA competitions, play any contact sport you can think of and run 1.5 miles every morning

I have gotten my ass handed to me a couple times sparring with some friends, but it is always because they're a better ground fighter. I can take multiple shots to the head and face without taking any serious damage. I also have reach and know how to utilize my size to my advantage in a fight. But I'm a terrible grappler, and people with more experience than me can beat me. I know I'm not unbeatable, so I don't get cocky in fights or think I'm the shit. But I know I can hold my own against most people. I also fight dirty and utilize whatever I can to win, other than crotch shots, scratching, biting, inviting in friends, and using weapons because they go against my morals. Unless I'm fighting for my life or the life of somebody I care about, then all morals are out the window.

Jiujitsu is NOT a fighting martial arts. And You can't train mma, its comes from years of prior knowledge. Its a blend of all other fighting styles you know. Saying you're learning MMA is like saying you're learning how to jam on guitar. If you don't know anything, how can you make chord? Same applies for fighting. If you want to blend everything you know, how can you, if you don't know how throw a solid punch without keeping a steady block?

It's easier for me to say that I learned MMA over Shotokan, Kempo, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Nick Cerio's Kenpo, Ninjitsu, Jujitsu, and a billion other art-forms...

I don't know but what I hate the worst is the people that say they are mma fighters but they've only trained a couple of times and haven't even had any fights. But they'll walk around thinking there the shit decked out in the tap out shit, I hate those people.

To be honest, before I ever started training I NEVER thought I could fight. Now, I've been training in mma for the past six years. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on and off for the past 6 years, and then some basic kickboxing the past 4 years, and the past two years I've been working on my boxing and wrestling (and of course still trying to keep up with my jiu jitsu and kick boxing) . I also do have an amateur Pankration fight under my belt.

However, even now despite all the above I still don't really think I can fight or choose not too. Why...well for pro fights...I'm just not good enough and/or have the dedication or desire to make it, the ends doesn't justify the means for me. For street fights, choosing to get in one is just plain stupid despite whatever the reason. There are just too many factors that come into play that despite how much training you may have can seriously alter the outcome...i.e. If I were to fight a guy who was Bob Sapp's size and had no training whatsoever, that guy would still demolish my tiny 5'9 200 lb ass. Jiu Jitsu doesn't teach you how to finish a triangle when you're on concrete getting kicked in the face by the dude's three buddies. Muay Thai doesn't teach you how to defend a knife attack or a gun shot. And even if you manage to come out on top, I don't need to go to jail and have a black mark on my resume for some stupid reason like a bar fight.

Hell even most Krav Maga instructors (which is the ultimate self defense) will tell you...if you're getting mugged...just give your wallet and walk away...as you should never risk your life and the stuff they teach is only for life-death situations.

~G

p.s. I admit people who walk around like their tough shit in bars/clubs because they train once a month and wear affliction and tap out shirts do annoy me, but I leave it at that...they still put money in the sport (which is still growing like ihav.net). However, the people who embarrass me, their gym, and the sport...are the people from who do train regularly and feel the need to "educate" these people acting bad by trying to start fights with them at the club/bar because that person is wearing a tapout/warrior wear/affliction shirt.
