Overdoing the sound effects for so many movies? Or I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of... thunder claps while lightning is striking? I guess to give an emphasis, but I feel it really isn't necessary, in fact, it's so overdone it makes me feel embarassed I'm watching the television. As well, tires don't squeal on dirt, but they HAVE to do it. Do they not realize it isn't 1960 and people are smarter and more perceptive overall? I understand their reasoning, but WHY? Seriously, how about a getting a little more realistic, Hollywood. If you're going to pollute the planet as bad as you do, how about giving some credit to viewers and throwing down some more realism. How about a crime scene show where they're stumped because cheap video cameras used for security don't have the resolution they portray on shows; they cannot pick up such detail and zoom in to show someone's face from across the planet.
Ya, one thing that forces me to change the channel is when all the people in the scene are facing the camera, even standing in stupid poses just so their face shows. Such as when some tv 'families' are sitting at the dinner table. You're right, I need to shut off my brain sometimes. Sometimes I do, but sometimes it is so hard to. Esp. when they show two people talking and one person is all animated but when they switch to show the back of their head and the other person's face, the first is standing still, as not to take attention away from the person speaking. Man is that annyoing. Kills the show for me. Annoying, the later Star Wars movies, I saw the original not long ago, and remembered a bit of the realism, such as when Luke is going to take out the Death Star, their radio voices crackle and have interference, but in the new ones, which are BEFORE the others, they voices are so clear and their technology seems to advanced. I suppose you could say the rebels had a limited budget?lol
Well, another thing, of course, is the producer / director or whoever might be in charge in that part of the production. I'm not saying EVERY movie. I guess you can't expect everyone to be the best at turning out the best work. Sometimes I am captivated and sometimes I am not. I just think some of these productions, they don't quite realize it takes away from it, rather than adds to it.
