Why does iTunes keeps downloading old deleted television episodes to my iPhone?

I have two laptops. On both I use the same iTunes account. I deleted some old television episodes that I had bought before, but for some reason they keep on coming back and re-downloading into my iPhone. What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks
