Why does my Acer Aspire Laptop have a bluetooth button but no bluetooth?

Exactly what it says in the question, my Acer Aspire laptop has a button that is activated with the blue FN and when it comes up it shows the button with a red cross. I searched the computer for bluetooth and couldn't find it at all. IS this as pointless as it looks?
 
Yes it is. its completely pointless ive got the same on my Aspire 1410. it said it had bluetooth but turned out not having it but had the button. i dont know why acer do this but i can only imagine that its something to do with higher spec models and them not bothering with removing the button from the low spec version of the model.
