Why does my dog gizmo keep biting at the same place and whimpering?

I have treated him for fleas even though i dont think that is it because he is only biting at the one spot. He also keeps crying and whimpering. I am scared he is a 15 year old and i am not ready to let him go. What should i do???
 
Your dog could have a hot spot, depending on the breed, you can get a neck shield that prevents the biting , but he should see a vet...
 
you really should take him to the vet, he may have a bite and the motion of scratching and biting is hurting him, being so old.... if you take him now you may prevent him being put down and put him at ease. Wouldnt you rather him be happy than in pain?
 
He's most likely to have a sore or some sort of pain at that area. Definitely take him to the vet to have it checked out. Dogs don't pretend, they don't know how to. Congrats on having such and old dog too! Hope this helps and good luck!
 
He is obviously having a pain in one area, and you should go to the vet just to be sure, especially as ur dog is so old.
 
The fact that he is only biting at the one spot is a clue he is only having a problem at that areas. Take him to a Vet and have him checked out. I am sure your best friend would appreciate it.
