Why Does my guitar pick up psp noises?

When I use my psp near my guitar pickups i can hear my psp threw the amp...I played a song on my psp and it was amplified. Why does this work? and is it harmful?

The pickups on your guitar pick up the noises from your psp... I'm not sure why that happens, but it's not harmful in any way.
