Why does my HD directv box not work in my room when I switched it from another

regular box in another room? Basically I took out the regular DirecTV box, and changed it out with an HD box in another bedroom. Because I wanted HD in my room because i did not use it in the other room.

When I turned it on It got stuck at searching for signal from satellite.

Then I changed it back because it didn't work and it worked fine on the other TV

How do i get it to work on another room?

You wanna make sure its plugged in to the sat in jack on the back of box, also make sure that if you have a b band converter to connect it when hooking up the cable, another reason could be you have what is called a SWiM setup, if that's the case I would just call DIRECTV and tell them you have a SFSS, Don't tell them you moved the rooms or they might charge you a $49 relocation fee to have a tech come out and relocate it. It just depends on the CSR. One more thing I would be really nice with them they will be more willing to help you.
