Why does my heat/air condition goes on by itself in my SUV?

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. My heat or air condition will go on by itself sometimes. The setting will be on off and I'll feel a breeze or my car will get warm and I'll feel the vent and there's air coming out. I don't know if this is something I should be worried about or not? It's been happening for awhile now but I just ignored it. Help?
 
Does it only happen when you're moving? If so, that's completely normal. The wind is forcing its way through your ventilation system and into your car. I've had Toyotas and Chevrolets that do the same thing. Honestly, I like it.

Press the recirculate-air button to stop it.
