I have a 2002 Honda fit. low miles, automatic.

It jerks as I accelerate. Oftentimes around 1500 and 2000 RPM. Sometimes it will kick back 2 - 3 times in the acceleration. It drives great (other than this). It is quiet and no squeals, rattles can be heard.

I live in Japan and rarely get past 60 Kilometers.

Why is it jerking/kicking back?

I've taken it to 3 mechanics who have told me that this car's transmission is a "can't remember the name they said" transmission and it will kick back. They have told me everything is fine....

But the kick back is getting worse and three times within 5 seconds???

If there were a transmission problem the "D" or "N" shift indicator light on the dash would flash. It sounds more like a motor misfire. If you have new NGK spark plugs the next thing to check for are small white arc marks on the inside and outside areas of the coil boots or plug wires. If they are OK then I'd have the injectors cleaned. Make sure you have had the valves adjusted, they get tight on Honda's and require valve adjustments every 60,000 miles. Fuel filter been changed?
