hi chris, unhook that linkys router it is not helpful to you that is one reason that your system is freezing but let's see if we can fix this problem hit start>settings>control panel hit he add/remove icon look at your list real good and uninstall anything that you did not install through your updates or downloads. now go online and download two things internet explorer 7 and mazilla firefox and use firefox as your default settings. now go back to control panel hit the internet options icon and delete your history and your cookies. now exit back to your desktop hit start>programs>accessories>system tools scrol down and defragment this is a very important step so make sure you complete this step. good luck hope i was helpful to you
