Why does my iPhone 5 say 4g when at the AT&T counter, there iphone says LTE?

Why does my iPhone 5 say 4g when at the AT&T counter, there iphone says LTE?? And I'm standing right there??
 
Your LTE might be turned off, Tap settings general cellular and see if LTE is on or not.
 
It means that your iPhone right now is actually using AT&T's HSPA+ network (which Apple decided to label as 4G). When the iPhone 5 says LTE, it's literally on the LTE network. You might have to turn off your phone's mobile data and then turn it back on to get the LTE network working. Every phone is built differently, which is why some might be better than others.
