i recently gotten a 2006 chevy trailblazer and so far the only thing that i found wrong is that when im starting the truck, it sort of hesitates in starting, but 2 seconds, it starts. could this be either the battery is no longer holding a good charge (the battery is label as installed in 2007)? or could this be something else? for example:: the alternator no longer giving proper charge or the starter isn't getting the right ignition to start? the lights tend to go dim, then bright again. thanks for any response.

i will assume this is a patrol vehicle, if it is a Diesel then there doesn't seem to be anything wrong cause the glow plugs need i few seconds to get hot enough to ignite Diesel. have you checked the sparks plugs, they could have some corrosion on them or have dust or oil on them and may need a clean, it could be the battery it is quite easy to check if it holds the required charge but i don't think it is because you would have a few more problems then that like it not starting at all at times. if it is not the sparks check the starter motor... fastest solution is to go to a mechanic but you may get screwed out a buck or two.

Your truck is quite new to have alternator problem or even starter problem. Your battery is not anymore accepting and holding charge. Have it replace>
