Why does Nokia C3 keep showing a caller's name even when it has been deleted from

the phonebook? I accidentally saved a wrong number against my friend's name and sent a few messages to this wrong number from my new Nokia C3. When I realised the mistake, I deleted the name and number, but I was shocked when I received a reply from this wrong number bearing my friend's name - which did not exist on my phone at all. In fact I have since saved the right name with the right number, but whenever I get a message from this wrong party, I still get my friend's name with it. When I delete my friend's name from my phone book, the name against this wrong number disappears from my message inbox too, and the message appears only with the wrong number. The same thing happens with calls too. Please help!
