An interesting fact is that some manufactures plan for their products to fail because they already have an updated version already. So when you see a new electronic device appear, such as a new ipod, remember that the manufacturer already has a newer, slimmer, smaller version in the factories. They just don't want to sell it yet because they know that after everyone buys the big, dull version of the product, they'll want to go after the new product when it comes out. It's all about rolling in the money.
This is why I think technology seems to speed up so fast. Their simply waiting to sell it after the other sells out.
