...population in the Vanni? http://www.dailynews.lk/2009/02/07/news11.asp
This disproves the claim of various sources of 250,000 – 400,000 civilians in the Vanni. This is a core total prior to relocation of several segments of the Vanni population as expressed in the following article.

Does that include LTTE affiliate and support organizations? This is crucial because affiliated organizations do not just fund, arm and carry out major mis-information campaigns but they do things such as attempt to bribe government organizations, NGOs, INGOs (as well as successfully bribe)individuals affiliated in conflict resolution.
As revealed in a recent article in the LA Times.

Why is there misrepresentation of the US/UK/JP stance from the EP?
The EP also endorsed the statement by the Tokyo Co-Chairs (Norway, Japan, the US and the EU), which calls on the LTTE to discuss with the Sri Lanka government the 'modalities for ending hostilities, including the laying down of arms, renunciation of violence, acceptance of the Government of Sri Lanka's offer of amnesty, and participation as a political party in a process to achieve a just and lasting political solution.'

WFP continues to discuss with the Sri Lankan arrmy and other humanitarian partners to come up with innovative solutions to continue supplying the much needed food assistance to the displaced without unacceptable level of risk to its staff and assets.
Wouldn’t full disclosure of all information regarding civilian populations, LTTE contacts and a commitment on the part of aide agencies to direct civilians out of conflict to government established IDP centers and hospitals far excel the past and current practices of said organizations? Certainly, by now, you are aware of the fallacious nature of claims that there are 250,000 persons in the Vanni so why are your figures not adjusted?

Furthermore why are there no corrections made to the story of cluster bomb and aerial attacks on the Puthukkudyiruppu Hospital?
