Why doesnt my iphone work with my t-mobile sim card after being unlocked?

Ive had my 3G iPhone jail broken and unlocked but whenever i put my t-mobile sim card inside it receives service and the loses the service and on the top left corner it just says no service with no effort of gaining it back. What can i do? Please help me. Thanks.
