The lawsuit, filed in federal court in California, alleges the meat mixture has binders and extenders and does not meet federal requirements to be labeled beef.

LordGodGoose: The correct way to make tacos is to use real ground beef, the kind you buy in a supermarket and then use a spice blend to season the beef.

I only mind that they try to call it beef. We stopped eating there about a year ago when they raised their prices and cut back the portions.

They use USDA quality beef... just because it has cartilage and ligaments in it does not deter me from eating it... those are all edible parts of an animal.

And I am an animal that is able to consume and process those 'non-meat' items.

Although I mainly use Taco Bell as laxative.

Did you even READ the article you posted? It doesn't seem like you did!

If they used "100% beef" it wouldn't be a Taco, it would be a corn holder with beef in it...they are (according to the article YOU linked to!) 88% ground beef, and the other 12% is "a mixture of spices and common food additives"...that's why it tastes like taco filling instead of like plain hamburger...

The article YOU POSTED goes on to explain there is nothing in Taco Bell beef that is not also commonly used by most other restaurants (and millions of Moms, too)....

The suit will be thrown out of Court, and we may one day discover that this was a deliberate move by Taco Bell to get free publicity.....YOU may even get a thank-you note from them for your little effort!

Because you can't buy a 1lb burrito for $1 unless half of that pound is saw dust :)

For what they charge your lucky there are not rats in the food.Cheap is just that.
