This makes more sense because these individuals (actors, sports players etc) make way too much money for their own good....and they don't provide jobs and make jobs or run anything...Why would they need all that money...?
That's a good point. It would solve a lot of problems. I really doubt they would over tax their great and intelligent leaders like say, Sean Penn.,the queer rights leader.
Heh that actually is a tax I'd get behind....celebrities often get their liberal buddies to write them tax loopholes, so they dont actually have to themselves pay the taxes they want everyone else to pay.
Though I think you could make the argument that sports celebrities do create jobs for everyone that works for the team - especially those that actually work in the stadium on game day. Sports stars sell tickets, and consistent sellouts mean more stadium jobs.
Then Rush Limbuagh would start crying and right-wingers would follow.
Wow I bought a basebal card, that had this athete's photo on it. I wonder how that thing magiclaly appeared in that package I got it from if someone did have a job making the card and pcakaging it.
I also went to the movies and a bucket of buttered popcorn all o a sudden appeared in my hand. After all nobody works a job growing popcorn or popping it for me so I can pop it into my face while I watch a movie.
I wonder were Gotham city is, since we know taht movie set wasn't build by someone wwhose job it is to build props and stuff for movies.
A celebrity tax would be micromanaging to an idiotic degree.
People on both sides of the aisle would yell at Obama if he tried to pull something like that in times like these when we need complete concentration on the financial apocalypse that we are in. Thanks Bush.
