All you have to do is go and get it.
Also, if your too poor to afford it you can go to a charity or get it subsidized by the governmant.
Why do people thinks it's so hard?

People think they want it for free.
But, they don't realize that there is a terrible price to pay-QUALITY.

This congress will force this proposterously espensive 2000 plus page health care bill, which they themselves have not read, down the American people's throat.

But they won't dare subject themselves to this sub par health care bill, no, they'll still have there elite congress health coverage.

The movie SIKKO is full of twisted truths.

Why do all of the worlds leaders come to the United States for treatment if their socialist nationalized health care is better than ours??

As things are now the poor can get health care for free or with little cost. They're just to stupid and/or lazy to find out how, which it turns out is also the reason they're poor.

Socialism enables the poor.

By the way, I hate to break it to you, but, the people who make to much to qualify for free coverage are not poor and therefore should purchase health insurance if they want it.

It's kind of like a criminal court and public defenders. If the court determines that you are poor they provide you with a public defender, free of charge, do defend you. If they determine that you are not poor than they make you pay for your own lawyer. Make sense?

There are people who have low-paying jobs and still make too much money to qualify for Medicaid.

Also, a big issue is pre-existing conditions. If you have cancer or AIDS or something expensive to treat, the insurance company will either not cover it--or will charge *enormous* premiums to sell you insurance. So your choice is buy expensive medicine/health care that you can't afford or eating/having a place to sleep and being sick.

Not a position I'd care to be in.

People would rather eat out, have cell phones for every member of the family, have cable TV, and drive cars less than two years old, than pay for health insurance.

Although, to be fair, if you're already pretty ill, or fat (and many of our poorest people are very overweight), no insurance company will want to give you coverage. If you don't qualify for welfare health insurance, you probably won't be ABLE to get it, at any cost, in most states.

You cannot get health insurance from a charity. The government does not help you pay for it. Where did you get those ideas? They are simply not true.
