Both Nintendo and Sony have handhelds. Why dosent Microsoft have a Xbox portable? i know i would buy it. i would buy one for $200, possibly more depending on what it can do.

well consider that nintendo had handheld stuff for years now (much earlier in their life). they did it to advance themselves in the video game competition

sony started relatively later, but keep in mind that sony was not quite as successful as nintendo nor as microsoft so they made the psp to promote themselves and try to make themselves better (it worked)

with microsoft, they are quite successful in the gaming world as it is and we have only a few choices in the latest of systems (as opposed to 20-something years ago when there were dozens).

now this next part i know a bit less about: xbox games seem to be somewhat made for a big tv screen.

and then there would be a lot of programming and adding a lot of games, it is a LONG and difficult process.
i do not deny that it would sell (im sure it would be quite good), but then they would also have to do a zillion updates, etc
