Why has my head gaskett blown again?
I got my toyota MR2 1990 Mk2 model head gasket fixed in November last year. I never started using the car until the end of December. At the begining of February the head gaskett blew again.
Since I was using it, it was using a lot of water but could see no leaks.
I have since had the car in to another garage who have informed me that the engine blocked has cracked has this been caused by the head gasket not being fitted correctly.
I had only done maybe about 1000 miles or so and never went very far in it since I got it back after being fixed. I've got back in touch with them but they are saying its nothing they did wrong and they are taking no liability for it. I have now got a court date to take them to court to get it sorted. I've had two mechanics look at it and they both say the engine has failed due to poor installation of the head gasket..
I do have pictures of the engine if you want to see the cracked engine block. These we're taking by an independant mechanic so I could take it to court..
