...water dishes? So I've had this green cheek conure for no less than 13 years and he just started this strange behavior a few days ago. I work long days, so the water dish dumping had me most concerned, especially in the dead of summer. Problem resolved by purchasing one of those dishes that fastens tightly to the side of the cage.
What has me most concerned is what's triggering this unusual behavior. Is he just bored or is this his way of telling me that he doesn't appreciate the neglect? (which is completely unintentional, but I'ze gots tah work).
When I've reacted to the mess he makes, he just gives me this ridiculously adorable "What did I do?" look that just melts my frozen, black heart. I love this little green bastard so much and am worried about him. What can I do to curb the behavior and address the underlying cause?
Glow: Yeah, I've considered that the little bastard might be doing this on purpose. He's very intelligent and knows exactly which buttons to push. It's like being married, dammit.
Parrot: Good point.
