Why hasn't he contacted me lately? Has he lost interest?

We met just over a week ago, and I gave him my number. He texted me the next day, we exchanged a few messages, then a few hours later he texted me again. The next day I texted him, we sent a few back and forth again. It's been 3 days since then and I haven't heard from him.
When we first met, we had lots of great conversation, and we kissed - but no actual date yet.
We had a good connection - could he have possibly lost interest? Should I text him soon, or would that seem too desperate? I really like this guy, but I don't want to scare him off, but I also don't want to be too distant and have him lose interest.
 
Maybe he met someone else since you haven't established anything with him give him a call if he doesnt answer leave a simple message if u never hear back move on to someone else
 
If you want to see just text him. I hate when girls try and play the waiting game get some balls and just see what he's up to
 
I can understand your concern as the friendship started off on such a positive and a few days with no texting or other communication would seem somewhat uncomfortable to you.
I wouldn't hit the he's probably lost interest panic button just yet.

Hopefully he's only a few moments from getting back to you with some plans for an actual date with you.
