religion? The only religion allowed to be practised in public is Islam.
Therefore no churches are allowed and Christians (and other faiths) have to practise in private and in secret - under constant fear of persecution. They even seize Christmas trees brought into the country.

Why are Muslims then so surprised and angered when Europe responds by banning minarets and hijabs? Didn't they see it coming?

What I don't get is, why did they allow the four minarets to be built? And now they want to ban them? They should have banned them before. I am not in agreement to Islam and what it stands for. And I don't think that many people really believe this is seriously a religion of peace and good will to all men. But, this is what we have to look forward to, burning buildings, derailing trains, and all their other wondrous and explosive acts. Love the person, not what they do. The UN is seriously deluded and corrupt. Why we are looking to government to solve our problems, I have no idea, but it is ridiculous to do so. Prayer.
 
The UN is a joke to begin with.

But the real answer is, their country, their rules. I wouldn't want the UN trying to enforce "hate speech" and "blasphemy" laws on us, as they are trying to do currently. Would you?

Their only real mission is to keep countries from fighting each other. Obviously they aren't terribly effective there either.
 
Because the UN is a powerless entity. And because it would most likely anger the extremists. We get enough of that already resulting in yet more jihad crap.
 
if for whatever reason america wanted to invade saudi arabia, they might use that as an excuse. they love bringing everyone democracy
 
The UN has no business telling a country what it should do in a religious matter. Granted, if true, I think this particular fact is horrible. I agree with freedom of religion. But if the UN starts telling Sovereign countries what to do in religious matters, then what comes next?

But from your link, I have a problem. They are banning the building of these minarets because it would mean that Sharia law might start creeping in? How about a constitutional amendment saying that Sharia law can not counter Swiss law? That if a woman has the right to NOT wear their burka (spelling?) than the Muslims can't do anything to a woman who chooses not to wear it. Or whatever. THAT sort of law I could support because it says that NO religion's rules/laws can override a law. The banning of minaret construction because it MIGHT lead to something is ridiculous.
 
the only solution would be to ban muslims from entering switzerland thats how one they can control islamization. but as long as the muslim population is growing islamization continues in europe regardless of wether they ban minarets or not.
