Why have my SIM card contacts disappeared (BB Storm/Verizon), and how do

I retrieve them? I got a BB Storm, moved my contacts from my old Samsung to its original SIM. Moved that SIM to my BB Storm. Copied contacts to Storm. Everything worked fine. Months later, checked to make sure all contacts were backed up on the SIM, then removed it from my Storm, then wiped the Storm. Reinserted SIM, and there were no contacts.

Have I lost them for good, or does the guy at Verizon have some crazy voodoo magic to get them back for me?

Dumb answers will be thumbed down, and I will think less of you as a person.
 
Seek help from the BB services people. It happens all the time, and they should be able to help you out.

Even if you have deleted all the information, there are software available that help in retrieving lost data. Just do a google for 'retrieving lost data' or similar term.

And for the next time, do take a backup in a different location, such as your laptop, before deleting your all-important contacts.
