Why his this guy venting to me nonstop ?

so this guy i have known for a year now he is shy.. so all a sudden he always vents to me like when the lost a soccer game he text ed me and when i asked how soccer went he started telling me that is was really bad and the lost and that he is just there to improve and get better.. and when graduation was coming up he text ed me to tell me that his friends are annoying him because the keep asking who he is taking to grad.. and then he tells me he hates this girl i know.. then vents to me when he is pissed and having a bad.. why his he venting to me so much thnks:)??
 
you said it, he is shy, he wants to talk, not that many people to talk to, his options are limited.
 
It's probably because he trusts you, but also because you let him. If he complains about the same things over and over again, tell him to take himself out of whatever situations are pissing him off and he'll probably stop.
