Why in Y!A - 'Books & Authors' subcategory falls into the category of...

...'Arts & Humanities'? CAN IT BE GENERALIZED?!

If I write a Book on the Science/Engineering/Technology/Accountancy/Mathematics/Astronomy/Astrophysics - then also should it fall into the FIRE TESTS of the 'Arts & Humanities' in order to enter into the 'Books & Authors' concept??
A little typo to adjust:-
'Accountan...' will be 'Accountancy/Commerce/Economics/...'

Why is "History" under "Art & Humanities" and not under "Social Science" ??
Why is it "Gender Studies" on the American board, but "Women's Studies" in other countries?

Because writing is an art. Where else would you put it?

If you want to ask specifically about the "book" nature of what you are writing, it goes here. If you want to ask about the science, it goes in the science section. And so on.
