A casual survey of some decent fellow USians revealed that the following sports are Gay fag sports played no-one but the effete Europeans: Bicycling (bicyclists dress and act faggy), Swimming (same, plus chicks are good at it so it must be faggy), and soccer(Europeans like it, plus there is no physical contact so it is also faggy).
The people I have asked by general agreement have above average intelligence and moral integrity. (I asked them if it they were above average intelligence and moral integrity, and they all agreed they did)
I am willing to go along with their opinion (they said that if I didn't I would be considered a fag, and I do not want that), but I do not understand how they can say that baseball, is a good old fashioned American sport. I can see where it perhaps used to be a sport (back in the 1800's when you still had to hit the runner with the ball in order to be considered out (kind of like squash) ). But I fail to see how it is even considered a sport in it's current form. Sure it is a game of skill, but if anything it seems even more faggy then the 3 sports listed above. I mean at least in those endeavors you have to be in shape. In baseball this does not seem to be the case. There is no physical contact what so ever (except maybe against the ball). Looking at the game, it seems like the players hardly get any exercise between waiting for things to happen.
Could some knowledgeable baseball fan explain to my why soccer is so boring and faggy, while baseball considered an exciting game, and the great American pastime?
I am hoping you will set me straight.
IMHO, baseball should be placed in the same league as bowling, pool, and darts. It's a game of skill, but NOT A SPORT.
Looking at some of the comments, I have received I want to clarify some points.
1) Sure there is a lot of skill involved. I will give you that. There is also a lot of skill involved with golf, and pool. However should consider these 'sports'
Sports arguable developed as a means for men to build fighting skills when not engaged in war. I do not see how baseball satisfies that criteria in it's current form. Maybe if they were hitting each other with the bat.
2) I am not trying to make fun of homosexuals, or denigrate them in any way. I thought I made it clear that the general consensus amongst baseball fans seems to be that bicycling, swimming and soccer are kind of 'fruity', and deserving of snide looks and jeers. Not that there is anything wrong with being homophobic against a sport, but I am trying to figure out why they do not feel the same way about their 'sport' of baseball, where the object is to swing your bat and hit some balls. I am just saying.
