Why is glockenspiel/bells the most underrated mallet percussion instrument?

Out of mallet percussion (xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, and bells/glockenspiel), why are bells the most underrated one? You can still use four and six mallet technique on them. They may be small, but the vibraphone only has about 6 more bars (if the vibraphone is F to F). The xylophone doesn't have that many more compared to the bells either! The marimba has about double the amount, but still. Why are bells so underrated?
