Why is it conservatives are always complaining about P.C.?

I always hear white conservatives saying "why are black people allowed to say the n word but not us", why are white conservatives so eager to be able to use the n word? Do they want the U.S. to be a country like Spain with no political correctness, where spanish football fans throw bannanas at black football players?

I am not a con and tired of PC in America

It has expanded so far to the point we can’t even open our mouths without fear of lawsuits, getting fired and having to publically apologize for the most asinine things.

You Liberals claim that Conservatives are racists yet it seems to me that Liberals are the ones who are putting people into separate groups and giving privileges to one group but not another.

And the way Liberals do this is through PC.

It is ok with Liberals that one group does something but not another group. For example.

If black people drop the N bomb then that is fine but if a white does it then it's racism.

If a black person shows hatred of all white people that is fine but if a white person disagrees with a black person then the white person is a racist.

I also like how the very same Liberals that constantly put down Christianity and claim God does not exist are many times the same ones that run to support Islam.

So Muslims should be allowed to worship how they want but Christians are stupid for being religious I guess.

For Liberals racism is OK so long as it is against whites sexism is OK so long as it is against men and bigotry against religion is OK so long as it is against Christians.

Liberals tend to be cowards that hide behind words like a small child hides behind her mother's skirt.

If you persistently call your sister a slut in public everyone else will think of her as one. Same deal.

I am not a conservative. I am a libertarian. For me, the problem with P.C. is not things like the n word which I myself am not comfortable saying even when I am quoting someone. My problem with what is called "p.c" is when it is used to stifle, not a single word, but debate about ideas or concepts.

Look at how the TEA Party is portrayed in the mainstream media and by many here. They are portrayed as racists, bigots and homophobes? Why? Not because of any actual positions on race they have taken. They have never called for segregation for example. But because they oppose a president who happens to be black. I view THAT as racist. Isn't it racist to treat someone differently BECAUSE of that person's race? Would you have called me racist for protesting Bush? Probably not.

This was what was said from a write who was interviewed on CNN. That the tea party is rigid in mind and believe in doctrines. That it is bad for them to exist, because such rigidity cuts off routes of communication. I think she is full of it, but I agree about how doctrine cuts off communication and therefor our ability to discuss and solve political problems. Tea party can be bad, but it's the least of our problem. Political correctness from the left is far worse. If you don't say what other people want you to believe, you get screamed at and called racist so you won't be able to speak your mind.

Why should people be forced to be PC? How is it right that others can say what they want but white people cannot? It sounds like a clear case of bigotry and ignorance to me. It's rather idiotic to assume speaking freely will result in the type of behavior you describe. That is more the lack of personal responsibility and respect for others that liberals seem to support.

Many think like children and lack long term thinking, I've observed. You need to develop mature mental skills to break through ignorance. This is why education is important.

There is nothing they want more than to be able to call black people the n word freely.

The only reason they hate political correctness is that it limits their ability to express their bigotry.

Throwing bananas and free speech are two entirely different things. There is a lot more to PC than the N word. Damn, you can't even say 'black' any more, it has to be African American, but of course it is fine to call caucasians white

I have no need whatsoever to go around saying the N word. That is of course disrespectful (and possibly dangerous) but we are sick of the racial double standards that exist in America today

Because it places certain topics off limits for discussion and debate, which is NOT how a free society is supposed to operate.

BTW, I am NOT "girth-enhanced", I'm a fat guy, dammit!

I don't think you understand why we criticize PC. It is because we view PC as a method for liberals to not address true societal problems. I have no interest in calling anyone the n word and never have. I sure don't think that blacks are helping themselves to use the word, either. PC makes one group subject to limits on free speech and leaves another group with no limits.
