...seperates religion and state? Why is it that it is against the law to commit suicide because it's "immoral". Why is it that drugs are outlawed because they are "immoral" Why is it that homosexuals can't get married because it's "immoral"? Why is it that morality has a claim in legality when it comes to the way you live your life? I mean if you are hurting some one else sure that's not good but why is it that just because a christian says it's wrong can congress pass a law against it?
Maybe i should rephrase...
Why are they allowed to impose ethical laws? I'm not a christian I should not have to adhere to a law that is made for them.

Out of curoisity, where in the law books does it state that the law was passed because it was "immoral"? Not trying to be smart, really asking.

You do know there are laws in the books that the government really don't uphold right?

Ok with your first law "illegal to commit suicide", if the person succeeds in commiting suicide, there is nothing the "law" can do. Seriously are they going to put the corpse in jail? LOL

And the failed suicide attempt, the law doesn't step in either and arrest the person.

Some laws are just plain silly, like there is a state that it is illegal to put and an icecream cone in your back pocket while walking down the street.

I am not a Christian. But Know the fact that majority rules. All religious groups should be able to live their individual and collective lives in accordance with the desires of its majority population, with adequate rights for its minorities.
