why is it that everytime i click on a Gif. image it opens my internet explorer?

if i save one of those images that move and try to open it, it opens my internet explorer, why?
 
its probably because you have it set that everytime u open a gif file it opens in you internet instead of to change this just right click on whichever gif file and go to properties, there should be a line saying on what does the file open as, just change it to a whateve picture editor u have and it should be ok
