Why is it that muslims think its right to "fight" for allah?

When said "fight"ing causes harm and pain to others. why do muslim men think they are above muslim women? i dont understand where they got these perceptions. did god tell them that it is ok to make theyre wives wear long robes and cover theyre entire bodies even when its 35 degrees outside?
