why is it that so many women complain of injections hurting then go on to have

babies?? i am not being sexist, i a a woman myself but i can never understand some of my friends crying over injections and then saying they want kids when older..i mean the minuscule amountof pain caused by an injection must be about a billion times less painful than giving birth, surely?! and people look at me if i'm i'm crazy for not wanting kids because of being afraid of childbirth yet they can't understand how i am so fearless when it comes to injections..where's the logic?!
i mean as far as i know, no-one has died from the pain of an injection..maybe aftereffects but the so-called "pain" is nothing,. just the smallest pinch ever, for about 5 seconds, whereas the process of labour can take days..anyone agree with me??
another thing that confuses me is that women have been traditionally portrayed as weak, "damsels in distress" when we must go through the hardest pain of all just to create life!
ditto piercings/tattoos/period pains..i mean how are these in any way comparable to the pain of childbirth? i can manage some (but not all)of these but don't think i could ever endure giving birth..whereas i know some girls who are afraid to get their ears pierced or injections

Let me tell you first and foremost that women can be portrayed as "weak", but we are the strongest of the genders mentally and emotionally which builds our physical strength!!

I work in an ER and men are the biggest babies when it comes to anything!! Not all men, but a vast majority.

Also, pain is pain. Just b/c a women endured childbirth ( which by the way, w/ all the drugs out there isn't all that bad) doesn't make her immune to pain whether it be a 5sec needlestick, 2hr long tattoo session, or a broken bone!! Things still hurt. Some people have higher tolerances for different kinds of pain.

I have had 2 emergency c-sections, urinary catheters put in both times, heavy duty staples that are literally just that, tongue, eyebrow, navel , nose and lip piercings, and two tattoos. I'd say I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. That definately doesn't mean I like getting shots, it's still uncomfortable! I've been through a lot and all I can tell you is that pain is pain no matter the circumstances.
