I accepted Jesus Christ but nothing happened. I was not saved from anything. I stopped into a church I passed along the way well, I got down on my knees and I began to pray. Why didn't anything happen for Jesus Christ to accept me too?
If you accepted Jesus, truly, as the Son of God, your salvation, then that means you are officially a Christian! Congratulations! Just because you did not physically feel something, doesn't mean anything, I'm positive you made God happy .
Christians will tell you that it's your fault and that you must have a deficiency of some sort. Isn't Jesus supposed to be the omnipotent one? Shouldn't He have given you something -- even if only an unequivocal feeling of peace inside -- when you accepted Him as your "personal Lord and Savior?" Here's your opportunity to become a reasonable skeptic, my friend. Religion is myth.
You accepting Jesus is not just praying to Him. You have to truly believe that He is the saviour and that only He can wash away your sins and save you. Jesus has always accepted you and loved you since you were a child. Do you think He'll only love you more after you accepted Him? The fact that you are still alive means that He has saved you "physically" from things that might hurt you right?

The records in the Gospels of the last instructions of Jesus to His disciples before His ascension deserve special attention. Matthew 28:19-20 records His commands and promises as follows: (1) go and teach all nations; (2) baptize them; (3) I will be with you always. This last statement is a reference to His abiding Spirit (John 14:16-18). Mark 16:15-18 records these elements: (1) go and preach the gospel to every creature; (2) he that believes and is baptized shall be saved; (3) numerous miraculous signs, including tongues, shall follow believers. This last promise is a reference to the power accompanying the Spirit baptism (Acts 1:8; 2:4). Luke's account of Christ's last words contains these basic points: (1) you are witnesses of my death and resurrection; (2) preach repentance and remission of sins among all nations (of course, remission of sins includes water baptism [Acts 2:38]); (3) wait until you receive power from on high, the promise of the Father, which is the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Luke 24:46-49; Acts 1:4-5). From the Gospels we can summarize Christ's commands relative to the experience of salvation as follows: (1) believe in His deity; (2) repent; (3) be born of water and the Spirit. This last command corresponds to His command to be baptized and to wait for the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
I am trying to be honest. You have been misled by the mass conscious of Christian tradition. You were seeking truth and the lie would not do. Seek the Christ spirit within yourself. It will take some work but slowly you will feel it within yourself. It can't come from the Christian assembly line of do good feel good B.S. You don't accept Christ, as Paul said you develop it in you.
Sometimes it takes a while, it is not an over night change that takes place all the time, but if you are sincere in seeking him and believe in your heart a change will take place it might be that you wake up some day and say yes thats it I understand now or it might just be a gradual change that takes place over years...
What did you expect to happen? You prayed to have a new life in Christ. So now you start your new life as a Christian. Everything happened that was supposed to happen. You are accepted.
I have been a Christian for 13 years and I can say from personal experience that it wasn't all fireworks for me, either. I didn't feel a thing. But I will tell you this: Jesus Christ has already accepted you. Before the beginning of the world, He accepted you. You were saved from a lot. You were saved from an eternity in hell, which is a very real place. I would encourage you to start reading the Bible and praying on a daily basis and also to get connected with a local church. Just know that He loves you and that if you live each day for Him, you will see Him in heaven.
ha it's ok it's not like ure gonna get an electrical charge through ure brain, start doing things working for God. Like talk to other people about you're faith. God is happy I'm sure, but now you need to spread the word.
