Didn't Jesus, Himself, say that His Coming was not a contradiction to the old law, but it's very fulfillment? Let's imagine that you have appointed a man to stand guard at the entrance to your home, and agree to one day come back and give him vast treasures for his service. After many years of dedicated service, you finally keep your word. You arrive in a full convoy with treasures and gifts so great, one can not comprehend! When you approach this faithful servant, he says that he doesn't want your treasure, in fact, he spits in your face and beats you! Finally, after the man has beaten you severely, he kills you! He then returns to his post, to guard the door. He is now guarding a door to a home, in which nobody lives! It seems that the man felt so important because of the responsibility that he was entrusted with, that he missed his true purpose by a mile! The very person that he was to protect, has now died at his hands! And the very reward, which was being sought, was not even accepted. Does this make sense to anybody?
